How I Work

As a depth-oriented psychotherapist, I provide gentle and compassionate therapy for my clients with the goal of resolving deeply-seated issues that hinder them from living their best life. I provide a safe haven, a sanctuary of sorts, so my clients may thoroughly explore and successfully resolve their underlying problems and experience long-lasting, positive change.

Find the brilliance and color in your life!

I work with the whole person – the body, mind, and spirit – as I believe all parts of the Self can contribute to the successful and long-lasting resolution of problems.

My approach to therapy is influenced by the work of Carl Jung, person-center psychology of Carl RogersCoherence Therapy, Marianne Williamson, and Carolyn Myss.

I am creative and innovative. I will authentically participate in the therapy by asking questions, making observations, or offering reflective feedback to help better understand the conscious or unconscious significance of your behaviors, thoughts, or emotions.

What my clients think and feel during therapy is important to me. This is the doorway to insight and the possibility of change. Recognizing where my clients are and where they want to be, and then creating awareness and choice as to how to get there, is a therapeutic goal many of my clients and I work on. Awareness, empowerment, choice, and balance are touchstones in my therapeutic practice.

I firmly believe every person has an innate capacity for healing, whether their concerns are recent or long-standing, and I compassionately, empathetically, and respectfully support my clients to heal and grow to their best potential.

Please see the “EMDR” page to read about one of my favorite and most effective therapeutic resources for clients’ long-lasting change.
